Track 4: Advancing Linguistic Research Through Interdisciplinary Approaches

Track Introduction

This track explores how Linguistics intersects with other disciplines to reshape the study of language. Topics include Linguistics and cognitive science, neurolinguistics bridging brain science and language, linguistic contributions to AI and machine learning, sociolinguistic perspectives on global language use, language and memory, and experimental methods. We welcome innovative, empirically grounded research that crosses disciplinary boundaries and opens new directions for linguistic inquiry.

Bio

Dr. Li Junkai is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Foreign Languages, Tianjin University, and Director of the Center for Francophone Studies at the Institute of the Global South. His research focuses on French Linguistics and Francophone studies. He was a visiting scholar and chercheur associé at CREM, Université de Lorraine, France. He has published over ten papers in leading journals, authored two monographs and one textbook, and holds one authorized patent. He has led a subproject of a major National Social Science Fund project, two provincial-level projects, and one industry-sponsored project, and participated in national, ministerial, and international research projects. He has delivered over ten presentations at international conferences.
